City Committee Members Victorious in City Races

Four members of the Republican City Committee claimed full-term Council seats in the Nov. 7 municipal election.

Council President Jay DiLisio, Ward 4 Councilor Michael Angelo, at-large Councilor Jonathan Tavares, and newcomer Nicholas Lavoie all won seats on the 11-member Council.

This team campaigned on commonsense, family-values issues such as lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, public safety, care for seniors, limited growth of government, and attracting business to Attleboro.

The City Committee is proud of these leaders for running positive campaigns that emphasized a strong desire to work with all city officials for the betterment of Attleboro citizens.

On the school committee, veteran committee member Jim Stors won another term as an at-large board member.

First-time school committee candidates Tara Finn (Ward 6), Jim Poore (Ward 1), and Mike Wagner (Ward 3) fell short, but ran honorable, tough campaigns.

City Committee member Laura Gignac also won another term as City Treasurer. She was unopposed.
