BOSTON – A federal judge has ruled that the Secretary of the Commonwealth must reverse it’s decision to withhold voter registration data from the Voter Reference Foundation in a case that has broad implications for similawitholdr efforts by the Fair Election Foundation.
Based on this March ruling by Chief US District Judge Denise J. Casper, the Fair Election Foundation will demand that Secretary William J. Galvin provide periodic voter lists to the Fair Election Foundation.

Massachusetts has been named as one of six states where the US Dept. of Justice will assign election observers to ensure the 2026 state Primary and General Elections will be held according to federal election laws.
The Fair Election Foundation is notifying all Massachusetts city and town clerks, as well as registrars, of the organizations findings regarding errors in voter rolls. The FEF has been analyzing state voter rolls for years and submitting its detailed  findings to state authorities. Having received no response from the state, FEF will now go directly to city and town authorities with the data in an effort to correct errors. Examples of errors include deceased people on the voter rolls after months or years of havind died, people who have moved out of state who are still listed as active voters, birthdates and voter registration dates that are hundreds of years old, and invalid addresses.
